Happy New Year wishes to you all! We are now officially gearing up for the 44th Powell Street Festival, August 1 and 2, 2020.  

Please welcome our new permanent parttime staff!  

June Fukumura joins us as our Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator. June is a second-generation Japanese Canadian born and raised in Vancouver. She is an interdisciplinary and experimental theatre maker, performer, and cultural worker who is thrilled to join the PSFS team. If you are a PSFS sponsor, membership partner or lottery supporter, you’ll be hearing from her soon! 

Sophia Kitazume returns to PSFS as our Administrative Assistant. Born and raised in Japan, she currently studies Psychology and Education at SFU. Sophia is excited and honored to be a part of the team again! 

Samantha Marsh joins us as our Program Coordinator. Sammy is of Japanese American decent, but since moving from San Francisco, has fallen in love with Vancouver. She has a background in museum studies with a heavy focus on community engagement, programming, and outreach. Sammy is delighted to join the PSFS team and to connect with all its community members and collaborators!
