Tetsuro Shigematsu dynamically combined the personal and the historical in The Oppenheimer Incident, a PodPlay (a site-specific podcast play) in which the audience member listened to an MP3 player as they circumnavigate Oppenheimer Park. The Oppenheimer Incident was written and performed by Tetsuro Shigematsu, sound design by Noah Drew, featuring music by Yota Kobayashi. The Oppenheimer Incident is a Neworld Theatre Production commissioned by the Powell Street Festival Society. PodPlays is a series of performance pieces conceived by Adrienne Wong with Martin Kinch. Developed in partnership with the Playwrights Theatre Centre. To download The Oppenheimer Incident, please visit neworldtheatre.com…
