The Hastings Room in Hastings Park

Join the Japanese Canadian Hastings Park Committee for the unveiling of four panels introducing the history of Japanese Canadians in Hastings Park in 1942.  The panels are situated close to remaining detention buildings in Hastings Park, and were developed by a coalition of Japanese Canadian community groups and individuals.

Directions: Go through Gate 2 off Renfrew Street, next to the PNE Administration Offices. Free parking is available close to the Hastings Room.
Tour: Meet at 1:00pm at the Hastings Room for a tour of the signs.
Reception: At 2:00pm, following the tour, we will return to the Hastings Room for a short program and light refreshments.
