Japanese Canadian Artists Directory

In the Vancouver Buddhist Temple at the corner of Powell and Jackson (220 Jackson Avenue)

Join the NAJC for the soft launch of the online JC Artists Directory, inspired by Aiko Suzuki’s 1994 Japanese Canadians in the Arts. The platform enshrines the legacy of Japanese Canadian artists whose creative works are not known, either because they were made prior to the internet era, or have been lost to time. The hub is also a platform for practicing artists to meet, share, research, and promote their work. While PSF is the keeper of the flame, the site encourages artists to self-identify and sign up. We have made new discoveries and refreshed older works. Join us to browse and give your feedback, and learn how to register and become part of the directory. Demos will be happening at the Buddhist Temple Saturday and Sunday.
