The first youth Taiko ensemble, formed in 1993 by Shinobu Homma with the goal of passing taiko onto the next generation of Asian Canadians. Their membership includes 12 youth, ages 14 to 29 years old. Chibi has been recognized as one of the most talented youth performing groups in BC. They have performed for the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, Vancouver Children’s Festival, Cherry Blossom Festival, Nikkei Matsuri, and of course, Powell Street Festival.

ちび太鼓は、次世代のアジア系カナダ人の子供たちに太鼓を伝えていこうと、Shinobu Hommaによって1993年に結成されました。メンバーは、14歳から29歳までの12人の若いメンバーで構成されています。ちび太鼓は、BC州のユースの太鼓グループとしては最も優れていると評価されています。これまで、パウエル祭はもちろん、バンクーバー・フォーク・ミュージック・フェスティバル、バンクーバー・チルドレン・フェスティバル、桜祭り、日系祭りで演奏してきました。
